Our Parish Church owns a valuable set of Communion Plate by distinguished goldsmith Richard Blackwell II, dating from the mid-1650s.
The England and Wales Register, September 1939
The 1939 Register provides a snapshot of the civilian population of England and Wales just after the outbreak of the Second World War. This is the wartime Register for the Parish of Wimpole. Modern-day addresses (where different and identifiable) have been added.
The 323rd Bomb Squadron Memorial
Between 1942 and 1945, American B-17 'Flying Fortress' bombers from the Bassingbourn airbase were parked and concealed within the 'South Avenue' leading up to Wimpole Hall. A Memorial Marker was donated in 1997 by the 91st Bomb Group Memorial Association.
